KDUK General Elections 2026

Executive Committee (2026 - 2028)

In accordance with the KDUK Constitution, the term of the current Executive Committee is drawing to a close and we are officially opening the floor for the 2026-2028 term. We invite eligible Full Members committed to our mission to step forward and shape the future leadership of Kenyan Doctors in the UK. Successful candidates will be elected for a renewable two-year term, with a maximum of two consecutive terms, ensuring dedicated stewardship for our vibrant community.

All the six Executive Committee positions are open for a contested election. Nominations are sought for Chair, General Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as three Assistant Secretary positions: Pastoral (focusing on member welfare and mentorship), Digital (managing online presence and publicity), and Partnerships (coordinating strategic engagement). Each role is distinct and vital to the association's continued growth.

Interested members should submit a formal Expression of Interest addressed to the General Secretary via our internal forums or official email. Your submission must clearly state your intended office and include a concise Vision Statement detailing your specific goals for KDUK during your tenure. This process ensures all candidates can clearly articulate their objectives and demonstrate their readiness to lead the association forward.

Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga

Tribute from the Kenyan Doctors UK Association

The Kenyan Doctors UK Association joins Kenyans in paying tribute to the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga: a champion of democracy, towering statesman and a father to many.

We honour his courage in the face of adversity, his unwavering belief in justice, and his lifelong commitment to a more equitable Kenya. Through his struggles, triumphs, and resilience, Raila inspired generations to believe in the power of democracy and to continue to pursue unity, justice, and freedom for all.

As healthcare professionals, we reflect on his decades of public service and steadfast advocacy for the welfare of others. His legacy will inspire us to serve our communities — in Kenya and abroad — with the same passion and commitment.

We extend our deepest condolences to Mama Ida Odinga, the Odinga family, and the people of Kenya. May his vision for a just, united, and prosperous nation continue to guide us all.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
